Remember back in 2003 when I was upset at the then-current President for supporting indefinite detention without trial of American citizens? Well, here we go again. Last time around, the detainee in question was held without trial or access to lawyers, beaten & tortured. I can't wait to see how this one turns out. I'm sure it will only be applied to people who are actually guilty of something, just without all the red-tape and pesky bureaucracy of a trial.
Now might be a good time to support the ACLU. Otherwise, I see a You're Welcome America, Part 2 in the making here.
What happened to hope?
