I came just a few feet from getting in to a head-on collision on my way to work this morning. Some nut case on a Harley was going the wrong way on my side of a divided road. There was a curve in the road at the point that we met so as I was approaching it wasn't immediately obvious that he was on the wrong side. As soon as I realized it I got on the brakes & the horn and moved over, giving him just enough room to get by. Luckily he was riding in the far inside (outside from my perspective) of the lane, so I had enough space to avoid him. It was all over in less than a couple of seconds but it really got my heart going after it actually sunk in about what might have happened had I not been paying attention.
