dead tree
So this is it, the last day of my twenties. Tara has a cake in the oven, and I get to go out and drink some beer later with a lot of good friends, so it's shaping up to be a pretty good day.

We finally took down the christmas tree today. When I was a kid I always wanted my parents to leave it up until my brithday. I'm sure our trees were quite the fire hazard by that time. Thankfully we are in the era of fake trees now, so no need to worry about the house burning down. Or at least, not because of our dried out tree. More likely it will be something the kids jammed in a light socket or threw onto the hot stove.
